If you cannot access your Salesforce API, perhaps after refreshing your Sandbox, here are a few things you can try:
- Try to login to Salesforce using the API user credentials
- Production or Developer - https://www.salesforce.com/login
- Sandbox- https://test.salesforce.com/
- If you can log in, in Salesforce, check the API user has API access
- If you can log in, replace your Salesforce password with a combination of password and security token e.g. if your password is "password" and your security token is "XXXXXX", enter "passwordXXXXXX" in the password field
- To eliminate the need for a security token, set up a Trusted IP
- Use the FuseIT SFDC Explorer to validate your credentials (and the security token) directly against Salesforce
